On Dec . 5 , the Round Lake Police Department hosted its 10th annual Shop with a Cop event , and a local Buffalo Wild Wings ® was there to make sure everyone involved had full bellies . The Illinois B-Dubs ® location , owned by the 23-unit Here ’ s Wings , LLC , is located directly in front of the community civic center where the event takes place . “ We provided boneless wings and wedges to all 53 kids and about 20 police officers ,” said manager Samantha Hagan .
“ Our staff volunteered their time to be there to help serve food . Other local restaurants also donated some food .”
This is the location ’ s sixth year participating in the Round Lake Shop with a Cop event , which involves not only officers from Round Lake Beach but officers from other area departments as well .

Wingin ’ It , LLC Sponsors Inaugural Buffalo Wild Wings Christmas Challenge

Twenty-three high school basketball teams from around the state of Alabama gathered at the Tom Drake Coliseum from Dec . 15-20 for the inaugural Buffalo Wild Wings ® Christmas Challenge , which was hosted by the Wallace State Community College men ’ s basketball team .

“ We reached out to them before we opened to develop a relationship with the school , which has grown into a wonderful partnership ,” said Leslie Nabors with Wingin ’ It , LLC .
A nearby Wingin ’ It , LLC location provided the college with $ 250 and , in return , was allowed to hang a banner within the gym for the entire basketball season and was also awarded
naming rights for the tournament . In addition , Buffalo Wild Wings sponsored a half-court shot at each game during the tournament for a chance to win free wings for a year .
“ One of the student tickets drawn to shoot for the half-court shot made it , and the crowd went wild ,” said Nabors . “ It was awesome ! Truly radiates the feeling you get at Buffalo Wild Wings .”
The half-court shot competition was so popular that BWW decided to sponsor one at the remainder of the Wallace State men ’ s home basketball games . The B-Dubs ® location also sent guest experience captains to the tournament games to pass out coupons and promotional materials as fans were admitted to the game .
Wallace State sent an email to all of the teams in the tournament detailing how to place BWW food orders for their teams in advance , and the restaurant offered to feed coaches and bus drivers if they ordered food for the team or came to the restaurant to eat .
“ We are all about sports , and what better community involvement than our local college ? Not only do we have lots of employees that go to school at Wallace State , but we strongly believe in supporting our local schools in the community ,” said Nabors . “ The best part of getting involved in your local college or schools is making community connections that make you stand out from the rest .” S
