GRAVITY EXPERIMENTS Many Venturing Crews go climbing. However only Crew 4371 chucks watermelons off of helix towers! One afternoon during Scientifica crewmembers scaled Wah-Tut-Ca’s climbing tower to experience Newton’s laws of motion and gravity. The challenge was releasing the objects at the same time. In that regard we got mixed results. However we had a great time releasing melons and other fruits and vegetables off the tower. The crew will be spending some time this year developing a device to remove the variables regarding release.
