ARTICLES STEM down under students are on top of the world (continued) Genevieve Bell gave a great shout-out to the Australians during her talk and joined our teams at the conclusion to give out an Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, oi, oi, oi!. The other special feature of the Opening Ceremony was Lachlan Bolton and two members of the national team who gave the Australian Shout-out. To the amusement of the audience, their photo was initially upside-down which was very deliberate. This shout-out ended up being very prophetic with our team winning $194,200 in prizes, including the top overall prize in the world for a school STEM project.
