Danny Quirk is an artist
fascinated by anatomy, so much
so that much of his work today
focuses on revealing what lies
underneath the human skin—
on the human skin. Painted
directly onto his subjects, Quirk’s
body paintings are visually
compelling, inspiring a wonder
and appreciation for the beauty
that lies below our surface. Quirk
also works as a medical illustrator,
and has addressed psychology in
his work, using visual metaphor
as a tool to relay the anguish of
conditions such as post-traumatic
stress disorder (PTSD).
