“
Ultimately, scientific-thought/thinkers and
creative-thought/thinkers have different
rationales and are best considered different
territories that don’t cross easily or marry
happily when focused together. Yet despite
their different terrains, they may be outlined by
similar motivations as complementary shapes.
Thus, in the end, the art-science duality is
best described, practiced, and respected
as a ying-yang division. History and function
prescribe that a line exists between the central
powers of both areas. It is a graceful contour,
but a fence nonetheless. After years of research
and consideration, I believe that the best and
most profitable experiences are neither on the
fence nor near its perimeter, but deep in the
traditional space of each craft.
