“ Ultimately, scientific-thought/thinkers and creative-thought/thinkers have different rationales and are best considered different territories that don’t cross easily or marry happily when focused together. Yet despite their different terrains, they may be outlined by similar motivations as complementary shapes. Thus, in the end, the art-science duality is best described, practiced, and respected as a ying-yang division. History and function prescribe that a line exists between the central powers of both areas. It is a graceful contour, but a fence nonetheless. After years of research and consideration, I believe that the best and most profitable experiences are neither on the fence nor near its perimeter, but deep in the traditional space of each craft.
