A TYPICAL DAY
in the life of a school child in Greece
School
At 8:15 school starts. Our
first lesson begins at 8:20. We
have break time from 9:40
until 10:00.
During break time, the
children have a snack and play
games out doors.
Afterwards, we go back in for
another lesson until 11:30 when
we have another break. We
have six classes every day. Our
bell rings at 13:15, when the
children go home.

Our students
Arrive
The students start arriving at
school from 8-8:15 a.m. Most
of our children walk from
nearby houses but some travel
to school by car.
The children don’ t wear a school
uniform. They carry their
homework and a snack in a school
bag.

We have asked the pupils in
our class about their
favourite school subjects.
Eight students prefer P.E.
and two students said maths
