School Magazine A DAY IN THE SCHOOL LIFE OF A CHILD IN TURKEY Hi, my name is Egehan. I’m nine years old. I’m a fourth grade student in Fener Primary School. On weekdays I get up at seven o’clock and make my bed. (Akın) My first lesson starts at ten past nine and usually walk to school. I don’t need to leave home early   We have six lessons a day. They are Turkish, English, maths, art, physical education, science, social studies, religion and education of traffic lessons. (Yiğit) I wash my face and hands and get dressed. Then I have breakfast with my mother about at half past seven. I usually have a little breakfast. (ÇağanK.) I brush my teeth. After breakfast, I leave home for school at quarter to eight and get on the school bus. (Ayberk) We have four classes in the morning and two lessons in the afternoon. A lesson takes forty minutes and we have a 40-minute lunch break. (Cemre) I arrive at my school at nine o’clock and here is my classroom. (Ege) My favourite lessons are English, art and Maths. I love painting and I’m good at drawing pictures. As a class, we love reading and this is the photo of a book fair where we went to. (Furkan) ( Some of us usually walk to school and some of us get on the school bus as our school is very far from the houses of some of us.(Egehan) .
