A DAY IN THE SCHOOL LIFE
OF A CHILD
IN TURKEY
Hi, my name is Egehan.
I’m nine years old. I’m a
fourth grade student in
Fener Primary School. On
weekdays I get up at seven
o’clock and make my bed.
(Akın)
My first lesson starts at ten past
nine and usually walk to
school. I don’t need to leave
home early
We have six lessons a day. They are Turkish,
English, maths, art, physical education, science,
social studies, religion and education of traffic
lessons. (Yiğit)
I wash my face and hands
and get dressed. Then I
have breakfast with my
mother about at half past
seven. I usually have a
little breakfast.
(ÇağanK.)
I brush my teeth. After
breakfast, I leave home for
school at quarter to eight
and get on the school bus.
(Ayberk)
We have four classes in the morning
and two lessons in the afternoon. A lesson
takes forty minutes and we have a 40-minute
lunch break. (Cemre)
I arrive at my school at nine
o’clock and here is my
classroom. (Ege)
My favourite lessons are English, art and Maths.
I love painting and I’m good at drawing
pictures. As a class, we love reading and this is
the photo of a book fair where we went to.

Some of us usually walk to
school and some of us get
on the school bus as our
school is very far from the
houses of some of
us.(Egehan)
