no differentiation made between them.
What is being done to raise awareness of these new qualifications with employers,
colleges and universities?
The responsibility for informing these sectors lies with SQA. They have a robust and on-going
programme of information for employers and further education establishments. Representatives
of employers and further education have been involved in the formation of Curriculum for
Excellence policy and practice from the outset.

exams have been marked in August.
Where are the exemplar exam papers, with model answers, for National 4/5?
Whilst SQA have not produced free online examples of National 5 exam papers, they have
commissioned a company to do this for them. These are now commercially available from
Hodder Education: http://www.hoddereducation.co.uk/pastpapers
Not all subjects are represented, but the ones that are, come endorsed by SQA. Price: £8.99
per title. The SQA endorsement is here: http://www.sqa.org.uk/sqa/43583.html
When are the results of these new National Qualification exams due out?
The results are due in August of this year, as they have been in previous years.
Can my child drop a subject after the exams?
As per existing arrangements, learners will reduce the number of courses they are studying to
five in S5.
