Chris tmas Time Around the World We love Christmas. It’s the best time of year because your friends and family get together and then the fun begins. School is best at this time of year – we do a Christmas play, have a fete and do fun things in class. Like lots of families in Wales, we can’t wait have roast dinner with turkey, sprouts and pudding on Christmas day. However, in the rest of Europe people tuck into all sorts of weird and wonderful festive food. Often European families have their main Christmas meal on Christmas eve instead of December 25th. In Germany they have goose and red cabbage rather than turkey. Whereas in Italy, most families avoid meat altogether on Christmas eve in favor of the ‘Feast of the Seven Fish’ where delicacies include fried eel! In Iceland people eat puffin and roasted reindeer (but hopefully not Rudolph.) By Seren & Menna s Christma r u o y t n ever spe e?
