C
rimson Countess is an all female melodic metal
band from Greensboro, NC. They started up in
Jan of 2011 as four friends just wanting to play music together. They have had some changes in line up recently,
but they have gotten lucky enough to fall into place with
the right ones. Crimson Countess consists of Shoshana,
B, Kristy, Mindy, and Jen.
Crimson Countess has had the pleasure of sharing
the stage with many National acts including Unsaid
Fate, Losing September, The Independents, Nasty Habit, and Your Chance To Die. They also recently opened
for Soil & Tantric, and were part of the Queens of Metal
Festival in Chicago
I asked Crimson Countess to do a little Q & A session so that we could learn more about this awesome
band. So here we go.
Who are some of you guys influences? Would you say
that’s where you get your sound from?
Collectively our influences would have to be Evanescence, In This Moment, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Tool &
Kittie. Our sound is probably more like a mixture of our
influences and how we all come together as a band.
So when did you guys start as a band. Has anyone
Your band name where did that come

Faces Unturned. September 28, we are doing a live recorded show at The Blind Tiger in Greensboro October
25, we are throwing a Vampire’s Ball at The Somewhere
Else Tavern in Greensboro. And November 14, we are
playing a Goddesses of Rock show at The Maywood in
Raleigh.
If someone ask you to
describe the band’s sound
how would you answer
that?
Alot of people say
hard hitting, aggresive
metal. Brutal screams,
powerhouse
melodic
clean vocals, and thrashy
guitar lines
Do you guys have a favorite place that you like
to play? What is it that
makes that place your favorite?
Yes we do, The Somewhere Else Tavern in
Greensboro. Its our ho
