The Point at Tobias a shining star of Spartanburg County COLLECTIVE IMPACT PROJECT Throughout South Carolina, there are numerous bright spots when it comes to teen pregnancy prevention. Investments are being made with federal, state, local and private dollars; programs are being implemented at a high level and in a variety of locations. While this is a positive trend, these grants and programs are often funded in a vacuum without a way to measure the collective impact of all that is going on. Perhaps more troubling, far too often these programs are also funded without mechanisms for long-term sustainability. In June 2012, the SC Campaign received funding from The Duke Endowment to address each of these issues. Specifically, this funding has allowed the SC Campaign to assemble a leadership group of stakeholders and decision makers from a variety of agencies to begin the process of working more collaboratively on the issue of funding and implementing teen pregnancy prevention programs.
