Diamond Story:

Jerseyboy Hero

DC: Your premier was held in Redbank, New Jersey. Who is George Teutsch and how were you able to get into his Garden State film festival?

Chris V: He was the current President of the Garden State Film Festival at the time. I was getting some good press at the time and the Film Festival was moved to let me in at the last minute, with a rough cut. I did the premiere the following year privately with the completed film that was more faithful to my vision.

DC: Where can the public find your movie for purchase? and what secrets are you willing to share to help other independent filmmakers who are trying to get their own film distribution?

Chris V: Well I am happy to say that we have international digital distribution through Amazon Video in The U.S., U.K., Germany and Japan. You can always order an autographed DVD Hard Copy from our official website: JerseyboyHero.com

https://www.amazon.com/Jersey-Boy-Hero-Chris-Vaughn/dp/B00UT43OM8/ref=nodl_

As for distribution, Digital is the way to go! All the way, it’s nice to have DVDs for those of us who like those sort of mediums, but 95% of people will just download and watch or listen online.

DS: What current projects are you working on?

Chris V. I am currently working on a scripted, sequel to my documentary that is based on the real life events that followed the completion of the film. The working title is Jerseyboy Hero Too, but it will not be called that upon release. It is a much more refined message and the music and story will bring completion to the first film while blazing a broader path for my future endeavors.

DS: How was it to meet the Boss and Jon Bon Jovi?

Chris V: I never actually met Jon Bon Jovi, not to spoil the film, however, Bruce was a pleasant guy and was very accommodating. Though we have many things in common; just as artists, we seem to have a different view with regards to the principal purpose and use of the talents we’ve both been given. He was an interesting guy, and I am thankful that I got to work with him so intimately. I learned a lot from him.
