Message from the GM This issue of SANCO news features the SOSA Awards ceremony which was a high point in my Sanitarium experience. We had good representation from across the total NZ team, coming together to celebrate the people who embody our Sanitarium values and philosophies. Led by John Kirwan, we formally and spontaneously celebrated the good things about working at Sanitarium. Congratulations to those who received specific acknowledgement this year, particularly Robyn our Sam Bearpark Award recipient, and Peter our overall Manufacturing Branch Award recipient. We also recently had our annual Team Talk Tour where Todd Saunders spoke to highlight our heritage, sense of purpose and our plans for the future. I am inspired and proud of our Company and our people and I trust that you too have been encouraged as you come to work each day to move our business forward. Thank you for your contribution. Regards, Rob Scoines General Manager – New Zealand Branch News The Spirit of Sanitarium Awards On August 20 the New Zealand team came together at Sorrento in The Park to celebrate our people and our values. The event was MCed by our mate and former All Black Sir John Kirwan. Sir John’s honesty and humility along with his passion for overall health and wellness was a real highlight of his speech. For those of you who attended, what an honour it was to have witnessed a Haka performed with confidence from Sam Saluni and with response from Sir John Kirwan. A couple of major highlights were Sam, Willie, Arakeu, Josaia and Mana’s opening song and of course Christine and Albert’s duet to close the formalities – what a set of voices!
