Experiencing
In this unit of Experiencing Education, students will be exposed to a series of chapters which
introduce the very foundations of learning. Students will learn about themselves and the powers that
they possess through their accomplishments in many areas beyond academia.
They will examine the issue of self-esteem and how this impacts the classroom; discover their
learning preferences and how this knowledge will help them both as a college student and future
educator; and examine and observe human growth and development theories in diverse classroom
settings. Finally students will e plore the e ceptional learner note various barriers to learning and
recognize the role that diversity and culturally relevant learning e periences play in classrooms.
