rs at sua Linda Strotman Linda Strotman is retiring from teaching after 38 years, 25 of those years at SUA. She teaches Spanish language and culture and has educated thousands of students over the years. Some of her favorite experiences include taking two student immersion trips to Spain in 1994 and 1996.  “They were 28 days each in duration and were also homestay programs with Spanish families in Spain,” reflected Strotman. “They were very successful programs and the students experienced Spanish life firsthand.  They also took culture and conversation classes in Salamanca, Spain.” She shares a few words of wisdom for today’s and tomorrow’s students. “Be true to yourself. Continue the challenge of being women of integrity, nurturers, leaders and prophets. Trust in God and be grateful for all that you have.” Strotman with Spanish Honor Society Students Former student Malaika Robinson ’01 shared a message for Mrs. Strotman upon hearing of her upcoming retirement. “Mrs. Strotman, long before studying Chinese at Columbia University, I learned from you that learning other languages can expand both one’s understanding of the world and one’s self.  Thank you for sharing your patience, support, and warmth with so many young women at SUA over the years.  Congratulations on your retirement!“ – Malaika Robinson ’01 Malaika Robinson ’01
