SAFE-NET PROJECT
In Turkey where internet usage is increasing heavily, threats are increasing because of
unconscious and misusage of internet. These threats have negative impacts especially on
students’ academic and socio-cultural life. With the project, we aim to decrease these threats
to minimum level by raising awareness and consciousness of teachers and parents about
importance of topic.
The aims of our regional partnership are completely related to the objectives of
Comenius Program. Firstly, it is related to improve quality with mobility of educational staff
to Member State. Secondly, it is related to ICT based content because our topic is directly
related. Thirdly, this Project aims to conform a network with participation of different
organisations and school in the partnership and it will lead to new partnership and
collaborations. The next is to encourage using foreign language with the help of mobility and
Project activities. This will be valid for both educational staff and students because students
will prepare sketches and act them to partner organisations in English. Furthermore, it will
contribute to lifelong learning process because when students learn how to use internet
effectively in safe environment, there will be no distractive. For more, the students and
partners will have a chance to know more about lifelong learning by a project responsible
person working for Projects Coordination Center of National Education Ministry. Last but not
least, all the beneficiaries in the Project will be aware of diversity in cultures and languages
with the help of Project activities and this will lead to understanding of European Citizenship
which should be a priority for each people in global world.
Thanks to project activities, individuals from different cultures will meet and as a
result, prejudgments will decrease and tolerance will increase and this situation will contribute
