Youth SOCIAL CLASSES Gymnastics & Tumbling DANCE DYNAMICS 22576 Avenida Empresa, RSM Instructor: Dance Dynamic Staff $50 / 4 weeks each class Gymnastics, Tumbling & Routines Dress Code for Each Class: Dancers will need to wear their hair pulled back away from their faces. Leotard, tights, pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes. Ballet skirts and tutus are welcome. Jazz 1 This energetic class will keep your dancer engaged with fun music, exciting choreography and proper dance technique. The warm-up will work on stretching, aligning, strengthening and conditioning your body. Included in the warm-up are exercises for the development of basic dance technique. After the warm-up, the students perform movements across the floor that stresses the technical approach to dance steps. The culmination of the lesson is the learning and performing of a dance combination. This is a combination of movements using all the elements of dance and testing the dancer’s technique, coordination and memory. Ages: 6-9 years ASP4011 Tue Mar 8-29 4:00-5:00 pm ASP4012 Tue Apr 5-26 4:00-5:00 pm Pre Hip Hop This high energy class is geared to our younger dancers. Dancing to their favorite top 40 hits, the instructor will keep their attention and build their stamina for 45 minutes. Hip-hop dance encompasses many of the classical dance styles, but is presented in a street or non-traditional format. Each student is introduced to rhythm, musicality, control, dynamics, posture, and performance. Though hip-hop is high energy, the students will learn how to take dance class properly by learning to take turns and follow the directions of the instructor. The goal of this class is to provide a framework of choreography in which each dancer will be able to add their own personal style and attitude Ages: 4-6 years ASP4013 Tue Mar 8-29 3:15-4:00 pm ASP4014 Tue Apr 5-26 3:15-4:00 pm Hip Hop This high energy class will keep your dancer moving and grooving for a full hour. This class will teach the students how to find the beat of the music and have fun dancing to their favorite pop music. Students develop strength, flexibility, confidence, and concentration in a light-hearted environment. Yoga mats are provided but feel free to bring your own.
