Interns Leaving
Jonas Aronson, Marketing Manager
Jonas has held the position as Marketing Manager during the 2016 spring internship
period. His main responsibilities has been to promote the chamber through marketing and PR. The internship has been a great way to further his knowledge in the field
of marketing and PR and the experience of living and working in the U.S have been
both challenging and fun. Jonas believes that being able to work on own ideas
together with another intern generates a creative office environment.
Before moving to Philadelphia Jonas had never been in the city before. Philadelphia
is conveniently located between other large cities; New York is only two hours away
and can become a great weekend trip. Philadelphia is a historically significant city
with a lot to offer. It’s a beautiful city and it can offer you anything from American
culture to fantastic restaurants and hip bars.
Now Jonas is moving back to Stockholm to pursue a career within the field of
marketing. He takes his experience that he gained at the chamber with him and
he believes that the newly gained experience will forever be invaluable and
encourages other to do the same if they get the chance.
Emma Nilsson, Finance Manager
Emma has held the position as Financial Manager at the Chamber. Her duties have
included budgeting, accounting, forecasting and general administration. She has
also worked with memberships, preparing board meetings and organizing events
for the Chamber.
Emma has a bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics and through this
internship she has been able to apply her theoretical knowledge on practical
tasks, which has been very educational. Furthermore, the internship has given her
valuable experience of conducting business internationally and working in a nonprofit organization. These are all things that no doubt will facilitate her future career.
Philadelphia is an exciting city to explore and has something to offer to everyone.
The rich history of the city is nicely contrasted with all the bars and restaurants
and young student areas. Emma has thoroughly enjoyed discovering all aspects
of Philadelphia and is convinced she will return to the City of Brotherly Love. When
she goes back to Sweden to pursue her career in Stockholm she will bring with her
the professional knowledge she has gained, but more importantly all the good
memories from living in Philadelphia and working at the Chamber.
