About SACC Letter From Our President Dear Members of SACC-Philadelphia, It has been my pleasure and honor to serve as President of SACC-Philadelphia. We hope you enjoy reading our latest edition of our SACC-Philly Update (“SPU”), which highlights several successful events and activities from the first half of 2016. Our Chamber has organized and participated in several successful events in 2016 including the first installment in our Business Breakfast Series which took place at our member company, Larsson&Scheuritzel Law Firm. The Breakfast consisted of an informative talk on The Unwritten Rules of Real Estate Transactions given by Dave Larsson. We have also organized an event focused on Swedish cuisine - The Benefits of Swedish Cooking and Diet. The event was hosted at the American Swedish Historical Museum and included a panel discussion featuring Swedish Embassy chef, Frida Johansson, dietitian and MD, Amy von Sydow Green, Philadelphia chef, Henrik Ringbom and founder of Scandaffären, Doreen Sundelin. We are excited about several of our upcoming events including the annual Crayfish Party in August and the continuation of our Breakfast Seminar Series as well as the monthly International Happy Hour. We hope you can join us for these upcoming events. SACC-Philadelphia is thankful for having hard working and contributing interns from Sweden with our Chamber in 2016. These interns included Emma Nilsson (finance intern) and Jonas Aronson (marketing intern). Our internship program has continued to be a valuable experience for our interns and the Chamber. We look forward to welcoming our new interns in the second half of 2016. Finally, I would like to thank our members for your continued support. David W. Engstrom President, SACC-Philadelphia page 4
