Visit Stockholm
- The Capital of Scandinavia
The Swedish capital is a great city for tourists. English is the second language for many Swedes (especially
for those living in the capital) which makes it easy and convenient for foreigners to communicate with
the locals. Swedes enjoy showing off their English knowledge so don’t hesitate asking for directions!
4. The Vasa Museum
The ancient battleship “Vasa” was intended to be the proud of the Swedish
imperial fleet. The battleship had structural problems and the king Gustav
Adolf was told to postpone its maiden
voyage. Despite the lack of stability
Vasa was ordered to sea and subsequently sank in the Stockholm archipelago. Today Vasa is an incredible museum where you can see the majestic
vessle in its full glory.
5. Skansen
The open air musuem “Skansen” on
the beautiful island of Djurgården is a
incredibly popular museum for families
and especially for those with young
children. Here you can admire natural
Swedish wildlife animals such as moose,
bears, wolves and lynxes. There are
more than 150 houses from different
time periods here for tourists to enter
and inspect. Make sure to bring a picnic!
