Bosch ’ s range of 18V rotary hammers ( the GBH 18V-26 professional and GBH 18V-26 F professional ) all have EC motors , which are highly efficient and require very little maintenance . The rotary hammers come equipped with a kickback control feature that gives installers complete control , especially when drilling on hard materials such as reinforced concrete .
If the rotary hammer turns suddenly or unpredictably on its drill axis , as can occur if the drill becomes jammed in reinforced concrete , the integrated sensor shuts off the motor in a fraction of a second . This prevents unexpected kickback of the tool and reduces the risk of injury .

BIM ’ S VIRTUAL REVAMP
Saint-Gobain Gyproc recently launched an improved version of its building information modelling ( BIM ) Autodesk Revit Template , significantly updating the intelligent 3D model-based process .
The update incorporates revisions including the addition of ceiling systems as well as wall systems for Graphisoft ArchiCad customers .
Both solutions contain the full 56 Gyproc standard drywall systems ( including Donn UltraSTEEL framework and Isover Cavitybatt / Cavitylite insulation ), with the Autodesk solution comprising all 33 ceiling systems . Also included in the respective systems are performance criteria and 2D details .
The virtual world of BIM means that products can now be plugged directly into architectural workflows , while data is connected to intelligent geometry to offer lower establishment costs and guaranteed quality of product integrations .

HARNESSING FALL SAFETY
MSA has launched the v-form safety harness designed for work-at-height applications within the mining industry .
The harness is light and easy to use , combining safety with simplicity in a streamlined design that can be fastened securely and released quickly , which ensures correct and consistent fitting . The harness is certified to carry 140kg and can be tailored to specific requirements , with either a three- or five-point adjustment .
The harness has advanced features and the quality materials used optimise its durability . The v-form waist belt can be attached onto a harness for work positioning and colourcontrasting thigh and torso straps make it easy to put on . There is also an option of ‘ qwik-fit ’ or bayonet leg straps .
