5-star opulence
Going green and being luxurious are two things that do not
seem to match, but environmental consultants, Ecolution
Consulting, are doing just that.

W
hen Ecolution Consulting were
asked to build a green roof on
top of Hotel Verde Zanzibar, it
came with many challenges. The hotel is a
redevelopment of an existing establishment,
where the owners aimed to upgrade and
integrate sustainable practices throughout
the entire property.

to take sustainable development to new
heights in East Africa and be a flagship for
tourism in Zanzibar and Tanzania – while
matching green elements with luxury.
