Wintertime in the gardens
Go back to basics and make sure the essentials are done and dusted, ready for Spring.
Although it’s cold and grey outside, a bit of gardening will warm you and your spirits up!
Here are our top winter gardening tips...
• Shape deciduous trees and rake any leaves, twigs, sticks and bark
• Prune back camellias once they’ve finished flowering as well as herbs
• Aerate the lawn by using a garden fork - this will allow moisture into the soil and help
rejuvenate the lawns for Spring
Have a veggie garden? Why not try planting asparagus in enriched soil and watch them
pop up!
