A Time to...

Beloved,

It’s that time of the year…

It’s that time of the season when farmers are paying a bit more attention to their crops. Pruning and removing dead leaves and stalks to yield more fruit and spraying insecticides to kill the bugs, to avoid potential diseases. It’s also that time of the year where farmers are looking for stains, spots and any other signs that their crops are being infested by numerous of things that can potentially harm their crop for the year.

I was watching a show a little while ago, where there was an outbreak of a particularly white fly that had infested an entire crop of sugar cane. The farmer had two options to save his crop. He could either invest in a pesticide, which he couldn’t afford, or he could go through each stalk, each leaf, one by one and clean them with dish washing liquid and water. Although, the latter was simple, it was very time consuming. He had to get a crew together, to help him wash each leaf with soap and water AND then go back and remove the leaves and stalks that couldn’t be saved.

I say all that to say that to say, the Famer (God), is definitely taking this time out to “prune” us. He is lovingly cleaning each of our infected areas and removing those “things” in us that will hinder us from producing the “fruit” at harvest time.

There are so many of us going through this season right now and I want each of you to stay encouraged to stay the course. Because once we get cleaned and pruned, the harvest (Kingdom building), we will produce, will far surpass those whose “crops” weren’t properly attended during this time.

I pray this publication blesses each of you the way it has blessed me!!!

Simply Blessed,

Hazel
