(iii) NATIONAL INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONSHIP Played in three handicap divisions - 'A', 'B' and 'C'. This shall be won by the Member in each division aggregating the highest score over the rounds played. A player whose final score qualifies him to win any prize in a Division shall qualify in the Division determined by the total handicap he received throughout the National Tournament according to the ranges indicated below. 'A' Division 'B' Division 'C' Division (iv) - total handicap 32 or under - total handicap 33 to 56 points - total handicap 57 or over NATIONAL ECLECTIC COMPETITION Played in 'A', 'B' and 'C' handicap divisions, with an allowance of 80% of 4 less than the average handicap, i.e. (average handicap - 4)* 80%. This shall be won by the Member in each division achieving the highest eclectic score over the rounds played. A Trophy shall be awarded to the overall winner. A player whose eclectic score qualifies him to win any prize in a Division shall qualify in the Division determined by the average handicap he received for the rounds played throughout the National Tournament according to the ranges indicated below. 'A' Division 'B' Division 'C' Division (v) - Up to 8.0 - Over 8.0 to 14.0 - Over 14.0 These divisional splits indicated in Clauses 21(iii) and (iv) above may be varied at the discretion of the Club Executive. If, in the interests of balancing the number of players in each Division at the start of the Tournament, it is deemed necessary to amend the B Division split the numbers relating to the total and average handicap shall be amended by the logical extension of the range as indicated. Any person falling to the lower side of the range shall then be in the A Division and those above that range shall be in the C Division. (vi) OVER 55's SALVER All Members over the age of 55 at the commencement of the Tournament shall compete and the winner shall be the qualifier achieving the highest aggregate score for any two rounds he may have completed. (vii) FERNEYHOUGH GOLD SALVER All Members who have won a silver tray prior to the commencement of the National Tournament shall be eligible to play for this Trophy which shall be awarded to the qualifier achieving the highest aggregate score over the last two rounds played.
