Fairford
victory over Bream for promotion
to Gloucs Division 1 (winning 11-
10) and after another excellent End
of Season Dinner, thanks to club
founder, George Ellis’s lamb roasts.
“The players are very keen to
pitch themselves against the more
established clubs in the County and
get the second team more fixtures.
At the last training session, our
sponsors - The Cullimore Group -
arranged for Danny Cipriani, Josh
Hohneck and Owen Williams to
come down from Gloucester to give
the guys a few tips.
“Apart from a poor few matches
in the middle of winter, it was
a very good season culminating
with promotion to Division 1 and
winning the Stroud Combination
“My daughter’s boyfriend Mike plays for Fairford
and I also know a number of the other players. The
way the club is managed is fantastic and Danny
Briggs is a great leader. They are a well-supported
club that plays, trains and socializes hard. The players
have a great bond which makes it a very friendly club
that feels like a family.
Junior Cup for the 3rd year in a row.
Our ambitions now are to do our
best in the new division and play to
our potential. We are also talking to
several stakeholders over potential
clubhouse developments
“Youth development is hugely
important to us as we pride ourselves
as a family and community club,
so we like to see anybody and
I’ve sponsored the club for eighteen months now
due to the fact that the club are result orientated.
The end of season dinner was fantastic and although
Division 1 will be a big challenge I’m sure they’ll be up
to the task.”
