David Millar has had a long association with Irvine
Rugby Club and recently told us, “I am an ex-player and
although I don’t get down there as often as I would like
it’s great to hear the guys are playing well.
They are a very welcoming group of people and have
lots of hard-working members to support the club’s
development. I am a club sponsor with my business

“As a community club we are part of a Sports Club
who has just completed a big refurbishment of our
dressing rooms to make them people friendly. We
also extended our gym and formed a dance studio, we
also hire out our function hall to the community for
weddings, birthday parties etc.
“Our ambitions are to have a successful and thriving
youth section and the senior teams to play at the highest
level that we can sustain. I would also love to have
our own indoor training barn with all the up to date
equipment to assist all our players to become better at
the game. A female team would be a big plus as we have
all the facilities for them.”
