“I am a Welsh speaker who grew up on a farm near Carmarthen. I loved my
childhood and my parents always supported my educational endeavours.
After leaving school in Carmarthen, I obtained an Honours Degree in Pure
Mathematics from Warwick University before subsequently gaining an MBA
from Cardiff Business School. I have lived in Cardiff for 24 years and have two
lovely daughters aged 21 and 17 respectively who, happily, are also succeeding
academically.
In 1995, I became a Financial Adviser. For the past 18 years, I have been an
Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) and one former employer specialized in
advising famous sportspeople, which gave me great experience. I formed my own
company in 2012 and this has, to date, proven to be a good move.
I have clients across the UK. Geography need not inhibit a wonderful Client-
Adviser relationship. I visit West Wales regularly for both work and personal
reasons, too, so travelling to meet good clients is never an issue.
Rugby is a passion. Sponsoring Nantgaredig RFC for the past few years has
been a pleasure – especially this season, given their historic achievements. I wish
the club many more years of success, both on and off the field.”
