That’s the same ethos that seems to permeate through Taunton RFC which is why, as one of Somerset’s top tourist attractions, we are proud to be associated with one of the county’s top sports clubs. After a fantastic season, which saw them win the Somerset Cup, it’s fitting that the club is recognised for its outstanding contribution to sport this year, and we would like to congratulate them for their successes, and look forward to continuing our support for them in the future.” “I have been working for commercial business for seven years and have now been the General Manager for two years. I’ve played at the club since U12’s and still play for the seniors. An average day will consist of making sure the Doombar is tasting nice! In all seriousness the management of all aspects of the club to ensure each area is performing to the best of its ability. For those who don’t know we run a very successful Conference and Banqueting centre which is essential to making sure Taunton Rugby Football Club can sustain its high level of rugby at all levels. Seeing the success on and off the pitch and working with such a great team here at TRFC is very rewarding. 80 Issue 86 The greatest success has to be having 350 junior members at all ages from U7’s to U16’s. Being a former junior player I know the influence that rugby has and can fully appreciate all the coaches and volunteers who put their own time into making each age group successful. The future plan has to be seeing Taunton Titans gain promotion and have the financial footing to be able to get to the next level. Only time will tell!” James Tolman, Club General Manager
