PROUD SPONSORSWORTH OLD BOYS RFC
Jeremy Marozzi has had a long and
positive association with Worth Old
Boys Rugby Club. He told us, “It was
really through a friend that I visited
the club back in 1995 and I managed
to continue playing till the age of 40,
predominantly in the front row prop
positions.
This team and the guys have really
gelled, finishing as league Champions
of Division 3. I’m sure if they continue
playing with such unity and passion they
will carry this over into the higher league
next season.
My business Jeremy Marozzi & Co
Solicitors are also a club sponsor and
we like to help out whenever we can.
Congratulations to the Champions on a
great season and best wishes for many
more seasons to come!”
Worth Old Boys RFC has been in existence continuously
since 1993 and is therefore old enough to have some history
and yet still young enough to have connections across all of
the last 26 years. The result is that we have a flourishing group
of Vice Presidents, comprising former players and supporters
who provide vital financial support for our existence.
Jeremy Marozzi and Co, Solicitors have generously
sponsored our club for 20 years, and we are pleased also to
have secured additional support recently from Thakeham
Property Developers. We also have a substantial band of former
players (modestly calling themselves “WOBS Legends”) still
connected socially to the current team, who regularly take the
field for Social and Charity events and, in one case, for league
games. These long-standing friendships are an important part
of the spirit of WOBS rugby, and are crucial to the long-term

vitality of the club. Perhaps even more than League results,
these bonds give me the greatest satisfaction in my role of
Chairman.
Our goal is to nurture and sustain these important
connections within the Club and to build on these strengths
for future years. For now, however, the future of the Club
looks extremely bright as the players take a well-earned
summer break (interspersed with some Sevens rugby for the
keener younger generation) and steel themselves for the next
challenge – a determined, and hopefully successful, campaign
in Surrey 2.
