to playing a couple of times myself
at the age of 49 to try and help the
boys. Trust me I was no help.
As the season went on, even
the hard-core group of boys said
enough is enough and I don’t blame
them, we turned up for one fixture
with just myself and two players,
we borrowed players from the
opposition just to get the fixture
ticked off. In the end we had to
concede once more that we can’t
fulfil a team and withdraw from the
league.
The only way forward was to
find a coach who was well connected
and that could draw players. I met
with Andrew Richards, a Prison PI,
in May 2018 and basically told him,
all I want in the first year is to find a
team and fulfil all our fixtures.”
