“Youth rugby is very important to
the club, last week we appointed a new
youth head coach to take the youth
forward and without doubt we are a
community club.
“We have a clubhouse that is second
to none, the only improvements we are
looking for is to improve our dressing
rooms at Woodland Road where we
play.
“The biggest challenge we face is
to make sure we have enough funding
from sponsors over the next five years.
The club’s ambition is to hopefully
progress to the Championship.”
It is clearly an exciting time to be
involved with Croesyceiliog RFC and
their success is a just reward for all of the
hard work that has gone into the club.
If they continue in the same manner
they should be able to look forward to a
bright and successful future.
James Tucker of club sponsor, Financial Planning
Solutions, recently spoke to Rugby Club Magazine
about his positive association with Croesyceiliog
Rugby Club. He told us, “I started playing for the
club’s U16s when some friends invited me along to
the club and I continued up until the age of 18 when I
decided to have a year off.”
“I returned last season playing on the wing for the first
XV and although we had a slow start to the season,
with many new players getting to know each other, we
really got our act together culminating in finishing the
season as champions.
“My father Andrew’s business, Financial Planning
Solutions, is a club sponsor and I now work there
as a trainee financial advisor. We offer a unique and
important service to help our clients manage their
finances in order to live the lifestyle they aspire to both
now and in retirement, without the fear of running out
of money.
“I have already started preseason training with some
games planned for August and myself and team mates
are really looking forward to the challenges in Division
1 next season. Good luck to everyone at the club for
the 2017/2018 campaign, more of the same please!”
