Skegness together to ensure we fulfil our ambition of staying in Midland 4 . The second team aim to carry on bringing through the youth of the club as well as using the experience from the senior members .”
Youth
“ The youth of our clubs is crucial having come from the youth myself and many of the current first team also coming from the section of the club . The catchment area for Skegness is so small compared to other areas it makes the youth of the club such an important factor to ensure that the team keep going forward to maintain a healthy balance within the club .”
Community
“ Skegness reaches out into the community on a number of levels . We offer our floodlighted pitch for local schools to use for tiger tournaments and home fixtures . We ’ ve also just taken on the O2 touch project to introduce new members and old of the community to the game of rugby .”
Facilities
“ Skegness rugby club fixtures are of a high standard . Boasting a £ 1M development which includes great changing facilities , kitchen , bar and our own seating to watch games puts Skegness in a strong position going forward . We also have a 3G pitch available for training during the winter ensuring our pitch is in the best condition it can be .”
Challenges
“ I believe over the next five years our biggest challenges will be to keep the influx of youth going with the club . Having such a small catchment area in a football driven town means the club needs to keep active in its ability to maintain a strong core to the club .”
