Amman United Steve Day of club sponsor SCD Auto’s recently told Rugby Club Magazine, “I started playing for The Amman as a 20 year old; I suppose it is a natural thing to do, if you live locally and play rugby. I mainly play for the clubs second team which is great fun and still competitive. I play mainly in the position of centre. My business, SCD, has recently taken up some sponsorship to support the club and I hope to increase that as my new business grows. Everything seems to have fallen into place for the club this season and we have even had a little bit of luck at times. Amman United is a great rugby club and I wish everyone down there the very best of continued success!” “Amman has always been my local club; I live about a quarter of a mile from the club and started with The Amman when I was seven years old and apart from professional rugby it’s the only club I’ve been associated with. When I finished in Japan I promised the Amman that I’d go back and play alongside my friends, brother-in-laws and brother. I’ve had a long affiliation with the club and am proud to be part of the community. I’ve always been involved with the club, helping out with training etc. and I always wanted to finish my career back with The Amman. The team’s done very well, winning the league and the Bowl and have played really well. They’re a great bunch of guys and have really deserved the success. The Amman United Rugby Club is at the heart of the village and everyone within the valley is associated with it.
