It has been quite a season for Navan RFC with their first team winning
their league and promotion supported by their U20s winning the All
Ireland League. Rugby Club Magazine recently caught up with Director of Rugby
Alan Kingsley to find out more.
Involvement
He told us, “I’ve been with the
club for four full seasons now. I was
living in Australia when I got a
phone call saying I fitted the bill
for what the club was looking
for. I accepted and I’ve loved
my time here since. The club
has stuck with me and things
have turned out well for us.”
This Season
“We won the league and
our U20s won the All Ireland

League so it’s been a successful year for us
and there’s a great atmosphere here at
the moment. That was boosted by a
fundraiser, ‘Strictly Scrum Dancing’
that brought the whole club
together from U6s to Senior and
there’s a real buzz around the
place at the moment.”

success has been four years of
hard work, working on skills
and the self-belief of the players.
