plans for the next campaign. The Ladies side will be looking
to develop a youth section and the club as a whole will be
looking to make more positive progress and continue the
hard work and success of the previous campaign.
New players will undoubtedly come and join our great,
welcoming club for next season, but we also have success
stories of our own already. Will Scammell is our leading
try scorer, captain Harry Cowles led the 1st XV to the title
and both Conor Milnes and Brandon Hogan have played
for NLD. Ladies duo Kathryn Turner and Jess Tolson have
also recently been selected to join the NLD training squad
and the future for the club continues to look positive.
Lincoln is a community club and welcomes players of
all ages and backgrounds. They get involved with the local
community through local events and their own fundraising
days.
The next five years could potentially be tough yet
exciting for the club. The 1st XV will be looking to push
on up the leagues. Next season isn’t just about surviving in
a new division, it is about grabbing the opportunity with
both hands and continuing to progress. The next five years
will help us to have a good idea of just how far we can go.
The second and third teams will continue to make
positive progress and give more young players their
baptism into rugby, while the ladies will continue to
flourish. There will undoubtedly be challenges along the
way, whether it is a battle to avoid relegation or making
sure the club continues to raise enough money. But Lincoln
has great people throughout its set-up and we can get
through anything that is thrown at us.
