Burbage
RFC have won the league comfortably by
eleven points, only losing one game and
picking up fourteen bonus points along
the way. Burbage Titans have also had an
amazing first season, currently sitting top
of the Warwickshire Merit 3 league table.
1st team captain Adam Jardine
commented, “We hope to build on the
excellent foundations that have been laid
both last season and this season. This
year has been incredible; I knew this side
would be very competitive this season
but the recruitment drive we had in the
summer was brilliant and all the guys
have stepped up.”
“It’s great to see both the 1st team and
the Titans doing so well. We also need to
stay grounded a little bit and understand
Tarnya Brink of Sage Green recently took
the time to tell us about their positive
association with the club, saying, “We’d
spent thirty years in South Africa before
moving to the area in 2002. My son,
Darren, plays for the first XV at hooker and
has the nickname of ‘Bear’ meaning that
my husband and I are known as Pappa
and Mummy Bear!”
