The Dijon track event
Two day track driving event at the Historic Formula one track in Dijon Prenois.
For the 2nd time in a row we will host a similar style all inclusive event for a
selected number of drivers.
Dijon-Prenois is a 3.801 km (2.362 mi) motor racing circuit located in Prenois,
near Dijon, France. The undulating track is noted for its fast, sweeping bends,
is very technical and a joy to drive with a modern sports car. Due to the
flowing character and a minimum of slow turns, the track is not hard on the
car interms of tires and brakes.
Opened in 1972, Dijon-Prenois hosted the Formula One French Grand Prix five
times, and the Swiss Grand Prix in 1982. The non-championship 1975 Swiss
Grand Prix was also held at Dijon. The circuit currently hosts the Grand Prix
de l'Age d'Or, and last hosted the FFSA GT Championship in 2012.
One of the many highlights was the battle between Gilles Villeneuve's Ferrari
and René Arnoux's Renault, which was finally won by Villeneuve. More
overtakes in one lap is not possible and shows brilliant car control and
respect

The circuit is at 30 minutes from Dijon and Beaune, the wine capital of
Burgundy and it would be a mistake if you don’t take advantage of this.

For those interested in wine, we organise a road trip the weekend prior to the
track event with visits to Champagne, Chablis and Burgundy. Off course we
are tasting excellent local grand cru’s with fantastic dinners to match. Start is
from Spa Francorchamps where we head for Champagne first. Hotel will be
the Royal Champagne and we dine in the brasserie of the hotel. The 2nd leg is
from Champagne via Cote de Bar to Chablis. Our hotel is Chateau de la Resle
and dinner is in the Hostellerie des Clos (with an extensive chablis wine list).
The 3rd leg is from Chablis to Puligny Montrachet where we stay in
Le Montrachet with a fantastic dinner in their restaurant.
