A few tips
from my side:
üü Find a photo of yourself where you
looked your best, and work towards
that.
üü Be more aware when you make food
choices. Cut out all white breads, pasta
and rice, and eat protein with every
meal (it helps to build muscle).
üü Never shop when you are hungry and
always have some biltong or nuts in the car to avoid the impulse to
grab a fatty take-away.
üü Cut out any starchy foods after 15h00, but do eat some at breakfast
and lunch, as this is your source of energy (oats, wholegrain bread,
sweet potato or brown rice).
üü Drink enough water and avoid sugary drinks.
üü Before going out to lunch or dinner at a restaurant, first eat
something healthy at home in order to avoid overindulgence.
üü Choose an exercise that you enjoy and book time for yourself to do
this chosen exercise at least three times a week for an hour.
üü If you do not enjoy training on your own, join a group or get a
personal trainer.
üü Push through the winter months!
üü Be patient! If it was so easy to lose weight, everyone would be
skinny.

for who you are, so do not spoil special moments because you feel fat– you
never know when you will be making your last memories together.
