CONFESS ROCKNATION ISSUE 24 PAGE 47 Hello CONFESS and welcome to Rocknation. Congrats to your band on the release of your album “Haunters”. How long has the band has been together and how did you form the band? Thank you! Nice to finally get the album out to the public. I (John Elliot) formed the band back in early 2008. Back then we just wanted to have fun and play rock ‘n’ roll. We we’re like 17 at that time, so this was just something to do after school hours basically. After a few years of playing in bars in Stockholm, things started to happening for us and before we knew it we started to get offers from different labels and booking agencies around the world. What kind of reaction have you had from fans with your “Haunters” CD compared to your last release “Jail”? I would say that the BIG difference on the reactions for these 2 albums is that, on ‘Jail’ people seemed to like it allot faster right after the first spin. On ‘Haunters’ some people were very fast on putting the album down. But after a few spins they actually took their opinions back and said the loved the album. I can see why. This album is a big difference to ‘Jail’. Is much more complex and it takes a bit more of the listener to get the whole album If you had to tell someone what your music sounded like, what bands would you mention? hmm..good question. I wouldn’t really say that we sound like another band precisely. But we are heavily influenced by heavy metal bands from the 80s. But we all listen to allot of different types of music. Not just rock ‘n’ roll. Not saying we sound like them but these bands is some of our influences when we started of and we still like them as much today. Guns ‘n’ roses, Wasp, Iron Maiden, Ozzy, Firehouse, Hardcore Superstar, Crazy Lixx, Kiss to name a few. Please tell us about where the band has played concerts and other bands have you appeared with. Where have we not played? Ha-ha No, but we’ve been all over Europe a few times and we’ve been to the States. I really want to go to Japan and play there. What plans do you have for 2017? We’re planning on making a new music video and to book some shows after the summer. And in the fall we will start working on a new album Thank you for taking time for this interview any last words to the fans? Thank you so much for buying our album and supporting us. Hopefully we’ll see you on the road after the summer.
