Metallica was seen initially as a thrash metal band, but their evolution towards more melodic rhythms and mid-tempo, which was beginning to be displayed on the album "Ride the Lightning". They went away from this style, which is not bad, it's called evolution. In 1985 they edited one of the most iconic records in the history of Heavy Metal, "Master of Puppets"; a must-have album in any collection of metal lovers, or lovers of good rock.

Also is the record that catapulted the band to be one of the best exponents of Metal of the era and was also the last album recorded by the great Cliff Burton before his tragic death.

The disc opens with a surprising acoustic guitar chords for later break with the power chords of "Battery" with a pounding full of pure energy that somehow defines what is the album in general, an album of Heavy Metal, rude, strong, but that also has its moments of melancholy, a kind of rest in the midst of a barrage of endless heavy riffs.

"Master of Puppets" is an album full of classic and emblematic songs of the band: in addition to "Battery", the monumental, majestic and unforgettable title track "Master of Puppets", the phenomenal "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)," the bombastic "Disposable Heroes", the amazing instrumental "Orion", among others.

Metallica gave with this album (which is full of quality and creativity) an enormous contribution to the Heavy Metal, to be a genre that has endured over time, over others who were born and quickly died without leaving a trace, becoming by therefore, in a legendary album.
