C akes & D esserts The groom’s cake is traditionally a gift to the groom and given as a special way of honoring him (or letting him know he hasn’t been forgotten!). This cake may be dark with either fruits and nuts or soaked in liquor. The groom’s cake may be presented in a number of ways - during the celebration, included as one of the layers in the bridal cake, served at the reception as a second choice, served at the rehearsal dinner, or specially boxed miniatures given as gifts to attendants.
