I
t all started in 1906 with the vision to make a tool
that would revolutionize the art of handwriting.
Inspired by the latest mechanical innovations they
witnessed during their stay in America, Alfred
Nehemias, a Hamburg merchant, and August Eberstein,
an engineer teamed up with Claus Voss to bring their idea
to life. Together, they produced a writing instrument with
non-leaking technology and a piston convertor that would
change the course of writing history forever.
The pioneering spirit that revolutionized the culture
of writing has since been a driving force for Montblanc,
leading to the making of products that combine technical
innovation, the utmost functionality and an expression of
style. The enduring passion for craftsmanship that was born
in Hamburg 110 years ago, was extended to watchmaking
with the opening of a manufacture in Le Locle in the Swiss
Jura in 1997. Montblanc's watchmaking expertise was
further enhanced by the establishment of the Montblanc
Manufacture Villeret, perpetuating the rich traditions of
Minerva, a small manufacture founded in 1858 famed for
its exceptional handmade movements.

sır oldu. 110 yıl önce Hamburg’da ortaya çıkan ve bitmeyen bu zanaatkarlık tutkusu, Montblanc’ın 1997’de İsviçre,
Le Locle’de bir imalathane açmasıyla saatçiliğe de uzandı.
1858 yılında kurulan ve olağanüstü el yapımı mekanizmalarıyla ünlü, küçük bir saat imalatçısı olan Minerva’yı da
bünyesine katan Montblanc, bu alandaki uzmanlığını genişletti ve Montblanc Manufacture Villeret’i açtı.
