Let’s make the earrings! When we are making earrings we want to make two closely identical pieces. It is easier to do so if we work on the pieces at the same time, so that we can compare them after every step, making sure that they are alike. For two earrings, we cut 2 x 11.5 cm, 2 x 6.5 cm, and 2 x 4 cm pieces of the 1 mm wire. We place the 11.5 and the 6.5 cm pieces next to each other, touching in the middle, and wrap them in the thinnest wire on a length of 2.5 cm, so that on both ends of the thin wire we get two, 25-40 cm long threads. then bend the ends of the shorter wire into a spiral, Arch the wrapped part carefully, and wrap the thin wire around it, up until almost the cross point. At the cross point, we bend the legs to the side, and fix them to each other with the thinner wire. Add the bead to one of the thin threads, then to the other, from the opposite direction. Cover the fastening with a silver plated bead from the front. RitzyToo.com | RitzyToo! | June-July | 43
