The North Georgia Bead Society was formed in 2011 by a group of beaders that were looking to bring
together beaders from the north Georgia area that wanted to meet and share beading ideas and
techniques. The first meeting was held in September at the Hampton Park Library in North Forsyth
County. By the end of the year we had 85 members.
Members meet on the third Sunday of each month and we welcome anyone from brand new beaders to the most advanced. Among our members we have nationally known designers such as Cristie
Prince, Norma Jean Dell, and Sue Charette-Hood. Each month we present a new project that is
taught either by one of our many talented members or a guest designer.
In April 2014, the members created bracelets and earrings for children, in three battered women’s
shelter in the north Georgia area, to present to their mothers on Mother’s Day.
We provide a Show and Tell table
for our members to show off their
beautiful work. We are continually
delighted at what our members bring
to share. It is amazing what a simple
change of color way can do to a
project.

you can view past projects and
members work.
