Fredericton Community Foundation
The Bridge Between Caring Donors & Causes That Matter
Founded in 1956 , the Fredericton Community Foundation is an organization focused on enhancing and strengthening the lives of citizens in the greater Fredericton region . In order to reach that end , it takes a proactive role in both community leadership and the development and stewardship of endowed funds . Ultimately , they are a vital link between donors and the current needs and interests of the community as a whole . Through the management of funds , local charities can be supported , be it local youth summer camps , shelters , or service charities . The Foundation emphasizes the phrase “ It ’ s all good !” to describe the work it does . Why ? Because they fund good , start good , and grow good in all of their actions .
The Foundation accomplishes most of its work through monetary donations that it receives from donors . It focuses those funds on areas that are important to the community . Grants are provided to over one hundred charitable organizations in Fredericton , funding everything from educational resources to health and social programs . They are also used to fund cultural programs such as theatre performances , music festivals , and education in the visual arts .
Five funds are currently available for donors to tailor donations to their individual interests :
