Hello 2014! D We know how excited you are at the start of the New Year! The energy is palpable. Everyone makes resolutions, sets goals, takes part in myriad rituals... from Bowl Game campouts {glampouts folks} to black eyes peas & ham, the options are endless to usher in the year in style. We thought that with this, the first issue of our newest endeavor, aligning with a brand spanking new year, we would share our prayers & hopes for 2014 with you! Dear 2014, We ask that you share your wealth. Your wealth of knowledge, understanding, kindness, good will, sunshine, health, opportunity, friendship, love and grace. We will need those things to forge through the days that challenge us, shake our trees, the days that scare the pants off us, and the days that bring us to our knees. We ask that you bring more people together than you tear apart. We ask that you open doors, connect people who may otherwise never meet, and offer unique ways to share our abundance. This year, we would love to see more positive, impactful media coverage of women. Women who are daring greatly {thank you Brene Brown}, women who try, try, & try again, and women who are stepping into leadership roles across all fields... so that they may garner a greater share of support from their peers & inspire others to #leanin. We ask that you keep our faith strong, our intentions focused and our determination unyielding. We also ask for all the little things that girls love... happy children, more time with our families, longer shoe sales, fresh flowers on our desks, date nights with the partners we love, Brunch dates with mimosas & true blue friends to share it all with! Thank you for the fresh slate, countless opportunities and the courage to pursue them, and all the joy waiting to be discovered this year... we cannot wait to get started!
