point of exhaustion and fear. Being broke and angry didn’t help either. My faith teaches me to trust, forgive, and love, but let’s face it - sometimes it’s just not that easy! That’s when I began to train myself in the discipline of gratitude. Each day, no matter what, I would find at least three things to be grateful for before starting my day. There were crazy days when I would have to write them on Post-It notes (most likely this sparked the onset of my Post-It note addiction) so I could remind myself that there was actually something to be grateful for! It didn’t take long before I felt the tremendous positive physical and emotional impact. It was incredible. Now, many years later, I don’t know how to live any differently! DESIGNING YOUR BUSINESS: VISION AND STRATEGY The same dynamic elements of gratitude, perseverance and faith used in your personal design must also be applied to your business. When I first began developing my own company business strategy and plan, building my website, and defining my vision, I was seriously starting from scratch. I had a dream, my unwavering determination, a lifetime of experience, an amazing supportive husband, and my class notes to work with. It was overwhelming at times; exhaustion would lead to doubt, and doubt can pack a wallop! These are the challenging moments when you must keep your eye on the future. Be patient with loved ones and friends who may be temporarily threatened by your re-design.
