point of exhaustion and fear.
Being broke and angry didn’t
help either. My faith teaches
me to trust, forgive, and love,
but let’s face it - sometimes
it’s just not that easy! That’s
when I began to train myself
in the discipline of gratitude.
Each day, no matter what,
I would find at least three
things to be grateful for before
starting my day. There were
crazy days when I would have
to write them on Post-It notes
(most likely this sparked the
onset of my Post-It note addiction) so I could remind myself
that there was actually something to be grateful for!
It didn’t take long before I felt
the tremendous positive physical and emotional impact. It
was incredible. Now, many
years later, I don’t know how
to live any differently!
DESIGNING YOUR
BUSINESS: VISION AND
STRATEGY
The same dynamic elements
of gratitude, perseverance and
faith used in your personal
design must also be applied
to your business. When I first
began developing my own
company business strategy
and plan, building my website, and defining my vision,
I was seriously starting from
scratch. I had a dream, my
unwavering determination,
a lifetime of experience, an
amazing supportive husband,
and my class notes to work
with. It was overwhelming at
times; exhaustion would lead
to doubt, and doubt can pack
a wallop! These are the challenging moments when you
must keep your eye on the
future. Be patient with loved
ones and friends who may
be temporarily threatened by
your re-design.
