THE ROAD OF THE HEART:
A BEAUTIFUL LIFE
BY DESIGN
Taking that first step to designing a new life was confusing, scary, and emotionally
painful. After years of running
like crazy and doing for everyone else, it was time to be still
and listen; to reach inside and
find MY voice, and the courage to dream and dream BIG.
There were voices to quiet,
and some to be heard.
Out of the silent stillness
came the answer. It was a
bold, physical and unsettling
urge to move forward…to just
go! Honestly, I had no idea
where I was going or how I
was going to get there, I just
needed to listen. It was clear
to me at this point the difference between thought and
heart. So go in faith I did. I
bundled up the kids, sold everything we owned and went
home. What happened next
was immediate and clear. It
was as if I had ten thousand
angels pulling and pushing me
through time and space.
Within the next few years
that followed, I went back
to school, graduated from
UCLA with a professional
designation in Interior Architecture and Design, met,
fell in love and married the
man of my dreams, merged
families, companies, services;
and in 2010 FOUR POINT
Design+Construction Inc. was
born.
Our first four years in business has seen dramatic
growth, expansion, and a nonstop packed project calendar
that has had us overwhelmed
at times. Currently we’re
booked well into the Fall of
2014.
Because no one can truly predict and plan what happens
in life, nor can we truly control others, we must discover,
train, and learn to rely on the
deepest, most authentic center core of ourselves. This is
where you will find the truth
and strength to re-design a
series of tiny moments that
when all strung together make
a beautiful life. Instead of
focusing on the things we
cannot control, or the speed
at which we travel, we must
focus directly on our mission
and on our responses to the
things we encounter.

GRATITUDE: CHANGE YOUR
PERCEPTION
One of the most common
questions people ask me is,
“How do you do it? How do
you stay so positive?” My answer is gratitude. Gratitude
changes everything. I must
confess I have always been a
naturally optimistic person,
and believe me, I know how
truly fortunate I am. However, I started actively practicing gratitude and forgiveness
