~Why did you elect to be part of the Grandmother Legacies?

As soon as I saw the grandmother focus of this book, I was in! I am thrilled to be honoring my Grandma Rose and share the preciousness of my relationship with her. I also saw an opportunity to tell more of my personal story than I’ve ever shared in print before — to inspire others who may currently be suffering from experiencing a traumatic childhood.

~Please share what you help your clients with....what sort of work or expertise do you bring to the world?

As a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist in private practice (for 12 years), I offer empowering tools to help women get to the core of what is holding them back — so they can release emotional pain, cultivate their strengths, and move toward their GOALS.

My program, Weight Loss 18 Minutes teaches people how to transform “emotional eating” into “mindful eating.” This holistic program offers inspiring guided imagery to empower people to step onto a path that nourishes the mind-body-spirit.

My newest creation, Color ME Empowered! is a “playshop” for women that was inspired by the writing of my Grandmother Legacies chapter. ~Why is this work important to you?

At 29 years old, I stepped onto a healing path. (My chapter includes the terrifying “wake-up call” that propelled me to get help). Receiving support/tools from an inspiring therapist was life changing! The sexual abuse I experienced as a young child quickly

Here's another inside peek into the life of one of our authors. We hope you enjoy this chance to "meet" Trina, one of our authors of from the #1 International bestseller The Grandmother Legacies!

Trina's contribution to the book is an insightful chapter entitled "Childhood Safe Havens: Grandma Rose & Expressive Art." It is special to her because, "I was raised in a dangerous home where I experienced violence and childhood sexual abuse. As a small child, I often disappeared into crayon and

paper imaginary worlds. I especially loved cutting my characters out. Doing this brought them to life, kind of like using a magic wand! I connected deeply to these ‘paper people’ because they felt safe. My ability to create art shielded me from the brutal reality of my home life and gave me a sense of power. These imaginary worlds were safe havens. Feeling relaxed and safe wasn’t a state that I embraced often…unless I was at Grandma’s house.”

Trina is an Author and a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist in private practice, who offers empowering tools to women who want to get past what is holding them back (including childhood emotional pain) from reaching their GOALS. She is also the founder of Weight Loss 18 Minutes. Let's hear a bit more...
